Collection Properties Dialog Box: Membership Rules Tab

Use this tab to set the resource update schedule and define rules that you can use to evaluate membership in the selected collection.

Membership rules
Lists the membership rules defined for the selected collection.

Click to start the Create Direct Membership Rule Wizard, which enables you to select a specific resource to include in this collection.

Click to open the Query Rule Properties dialog box, which enables you to define a new query-based membership rule.

Click to modify the selected membership rule.
Picture of Delete Button
Click to delete the selected membership rule.
Rule
The name of the membership rule, which can be a query or a resource.
Type
The type of the membership rule, which can be either Direct (for a specific resource) or Query (for a query-based rule).
Limit To
Indicates whether the rule is collection-limited. If the rule is collection-limited, the collection that the rule is limited to is visible. If the rule is not collection-limited, <Unlimited> appears.
Update this collection on a schedule
Displays a summary of the resource update schedule of the current collection. By default, the update period is set to every two hours.
Schedule
Click to set the resource update schedule of the collection in the Schedule dialog box.
