There are many predefined site database maintenance tasks that you can configure to maintain Configuration Manager 2007 sites. Some predefined maintenance tasks are applicable for all site installations, and others may only be applicable depending on how the site has been configured.
Predefined maintenance tasks may impact site performance if they are enabled and scheduled to run when site system or site database server system resources are in high demand.
