To add a SQL Server as an ESI host controllee:
In the left pane of the ESI window, select Applications > SQL Server.
In the Actions pane, click Add SQL Servers.
In the SQL Servers dialog box, perform one of the following:
Select I have a range of Servers and type one or more IP addresses to define the range.
Select I will provide a list of IPs and type a list of one or more IP addresses or names (one IP or name per line). Click Browse to locate the server name.
Click Start Scanning to locate and list the properties for the specified range of one or more servers.
All accessible SQL Servers are by default set to be added. To not add a specific SQL Server, clear the Checked checkbox for that specific server in the list.
Click Add.
The server appears in All groups.
Note: If the "Failed to connect to one or more SQL Server" message appears, one or more SQL Server instances rejected the attempt to open a connection with Windows Authentication. Confirm that firewall and remote settings for the SQL Server instances are set up per Microsoft documentation and that the instances support Windows Authentication. Servers that cannot be accessed are identified as Unknown in the Virtual Machine column.
