Adding a SQL Server database to a database availability group

To add a SQL Server database to a specified database availability group:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select Applications > SQL Servers Group.

  2. In All groups, select the SQL Server that contains the database.

  3. Click Script Execution and then click Add Database to Availability Group.

  4. Confirm or specify the following.

Description

Server

SQL Server in the availability group

Instance

SQL Server instance in the availability group

Availability Group

Availability group for which to add the database

Candidate Database

Candidate database to add to the group.

Shared Network Location

Browse to select the folder or type the shared folder path for the group.

Show script

Select to show the T-SQL script, which appears after adding the database.

  1. Click Add Database.

  2. If the added database to availability group message appears, click OK.
