Use the following procedure to modify a status message query in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007.

| You must have Modify permission for the Query security object class or instance to perform this procedure. | 
To modify a status message query
- 
In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / System Status / Status Message Queries. 
- 
In the results pane, right-click the status message query you want to modify, and then click Properties. 
- 
In the Status Message Query Properties dialog box, modify the name and comments for the status message query as needed. 
- 
Click Edit Query Statement to open the Query Statement Properties dialog box. 
- 
Modify the query as required and then click OK to close the Query Statement Properties dialog box. 
- 
Click OK to close the Status Message Query Properties dialog box.
