Deployment templates in Configuration Manager 2007 store many of the deployment properties that might not change from deployment to deployment. Use the following procedure to create a new deployment template using the Deployment Template Wizard.

To create a new deployment template in the Deployment Template Wizard

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Deployment Templates.

  2. Right-click Deployment Templates, and then click New Deployment Template to open the Deployment Template Wizard.

  3. Follow the steps in the wizard to create a new deployment template.

  4. When the Deployment Template Wizard completes, the deployment template displays under Deployment Templates. The Refresh action might be needed on the console tree node for the new deployment template to display.

    Note
    To modify the properties for a deployment template, right-click the template in the Deployment Templates node and then click Properties.
