As Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 discovers resources and assigns them to sites for management, you can configure client agents to run on these resources. Client agents determine whether clients can be controlled remotely, receive advertised programs, monitor software use, and report hardware and software inventory. Located in the Configuration Manager 2007 console tree, Client Agents enables you to configure which Configuration Manager 2007 client agents are installed on clients and how these agents are configured and maintained.
