Use this tab to view or modify general information about the
selected product. The product information in this tab is contained
in the product compliance database. You can also use this tab to
specify a new product to be added to the
database manually.
Name
The name of the product as it will appear in the details pane.
To add this information to the product compliance database, click
Set (which opens the Set Friendly
Name dialog box). This field is required.
File name
The name of the product's executable file exactly as it appears
on the command line. This field is required.
File size (bytes)
The size of the product's executable file, in bytes. This field
is required.
Product name
The name of the product as specified in the
manufacturer-created header file. This field is optional.
Product version
The version number of the product as specified in the
manufacturer-created header file. This field is optional.
Product language
The language of the product. If this field is left empty, SMS
uses the information in the manufacturer-created header file (in
the HDR-Prod ID field, if it exists). If this information is
not specified, the language will be listed as "Unknown." This field
is optional.
Compliance type
The type of compliance (for example, Year 2000 or Euro. You can add other compliance types by
entering a different value in this field. This field is
required.
Compliance level
The level of compliance of this product for the specified
compliance type. For the Year 2000 compliance type, the compliance
levels must be entered exactly as listed:
Compliant
Compliant with minor issues
Not compliant
Testing yet to be completed
Will not test
Other compliance types might use these or other compliance levels.
