Create a Package from a Package Definition File
Note You must have Create permission for the Package security object type to create a package.
Note that you can also manually create a package and manually create programs within the package.
SMS displays the new package in the SMS Administrator console, and it adds User and Guest accounts — with Read permission — to the Access Accounts for this package.
After you create a package, you can define programs within the package, specify distribution points for the package, and specify access accounts.
