Right-click Packages, point to New, and then
click Package.
In the Package Properties dialog box, complete the
settings in these tabs:
Specify general data for a package, such as the package name
and version, in the General
tab.
Specify data source settings, such as the package source
directory, in the Data Source
tab.
Configure access to the package's data files, such as the
distribution share name, in the Data
Access tab.
Configure distribution point settings, such as scheduling
updates to package data, in the Distribution Settings tab.
Configure how SMS identifies package status information, in the
Reporting tab.
Specify security settings for the new package in the Security tab.
SMS displays the new package in the
SMS Administrator console, and it adds the Users and Guests
package access accounts — with Read
permission for each — to the Access Accounts for this
package.
