When you distribute software to collections of clients in Systems Management Server (SMS), Advertised Programs Client Agent determines which programs are appropriate to the client and brings the advertisement to the client. When advertising programs, you can make programs available to clients at a specific date and time, you can select whether a program is assigned,and you can specify that the program advertisement will expire on a specific date and time.
The Advertised Programs Client Agent controls how clients check for advertised programs and how they behave when an advertised program is available or scheduled to run. When you configure the Advertised Programs Client Agent, you can specify client settings and run options.
