MPSite is the element, in Configuration Manager, that contains information about the site whose distribution points are being returned. The information that is contained here is the site code of the site where the distribution points belong and the master (or assignment) site code of this site. The client uses this information to determine whether it has complete information or whether it needs to fall back to a different site or management point. The number of MPSite elements is determined by the number of Site elements, which in turn is determined by the number of sites whose boundaries the client is in.
