Set Scheduled Outage
The Set Scheduled Outage object
causes HP OpenView to ignore a collection of messages that match
rules that you specify. Any messages that you disable using the Set
Scheduled Outage object can also be re-enabled using the Set
Scheduled Outage object using the Opalis generated ID of the rule
that was created.
Note: When setting a scheduled outage
it is important to save the outage Id somewhere where it can be
retrieved so that the outage can be disabled later.
How it is used
You can use the Set Scheduled Outage
object to ignore a collection of messages at the start of
maintenance procedure to prevent false messages from being
generated that are related to the maintenance procedure that you
are performing.
Configuration
To configure the Set Scheduled
Outage object you will need to know the rules that define the
messages that you are ignoring or the ID of the message that you
are re-enabling.
