Extending shared folder pools

After creating a shared folder pool, you can extend or enlarge the size of the pool. The new size must be larger than the current size of the pool.

To extend a shared folder pool:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select the storage system.

  2. For storage systems that support both block and file protocols, select File View from the Switch View list box in the center pane.

  3. In the Actions pane, click Extend Shared Folder Pool.

  4. In the Extend Shared Folder Pool wizard, select a file storage pool, and then click Next.

  5. In the Shared Folder Pool Setting page, confirm the pool name, type a new larger size, and select the disk size (MB, GB, or TB).

  1. Click Next.

  1. In the Review Input Parameters page, review the shared folder pool settings, and then click Next to confirm them.

  2. In the Progress page, click Next.

Note: Click More Information for more progress details. If a problem occurs while you are creating a shared folder pool, an error message appears along with options to resume or roll back the process. After you resolve the error, click Resume to resume the process. Click Rollback to revert to the previously executed step.

  1. In the Summary page, click Finish.
