Failing over to replica copy

In ESI, you can use the Failover to Replica Copy action to failover to a specific replica copy in a single consistency group only.

To failover to a replica copy in a consistency group:

1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select a replication service.

2. Click Consistency Groups and select a consistency group.

3. In the Actions pane, click Failover to Replica Copy.

4. On the Replica Copy page, confirm the correct copy is listed, and then click Next.

5. When prompted for confirmation, click OK.

6. In the Review Input Parameters, review the parameters, and then click Next.

7. In the Progress page, click Next.

   11. Note: Click More Information for more progress details. If a problem occurs, an error message appears with options to resume or roll back the process. After the error is resolved, click Resume to resume the process. Click Rollback to revert to the previously executed step.

   8. In the Summary page, click Finish.
