Adding replication services

You can add replication services, such as the EMC RecoverPoint Appliance (RPA) or EMC AppSync Application Servers. You can configure a replication service to enable continuous backup and recovery from any point-in-time for LUNs from a storage system.

With the AppSync service, you can also set up protection and service plan (policies) levels for database recovery and failovers.

Before adding a replication service, you must identify the connection information for that service.

To add a replication service:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select Replication.

  2. From the Actions pane, click Add Replication.

The Add Replication Service dialog box appears.

  3. For System Type, select either RecoverPoint or AppSync.
