Mounting shared folders

Note: To mount a shared folder, you may need to log in to the ESI host system with a Windows domain account or domain administrator account. If the domain account is required and you did not log in correctly, you may get an exception error during this task.

To mount a shared folder on a host:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select the host.

  2. In the Actions pane, select Mount Shared Folder.

  3. The Mount Shared Folder wizard appears.

  4. Select a storage system from the list box, verify the connection information, and click Next.

  5. In the Storage Pool page, select a storage pool, and then click Next.

  6. In the Shared Folder page, select the shared folder to mount, and then click Next.

  7. In the Mount Information page, type or select the mount point for the host, and then click Next.

  8. In the Credentials page, type the username and password of the storage system, and then click Next.

  9. In the Review Input Parameters page, review the settings, and then click Next to confirm them.

  10. In the Progress page, click Next.

  11. Note: Click More Information for more progress details. If a problem occurs while you are mounting a shared folder, an error message appears along with options to resume or roll back the process. After you resolve the error, click Resume to resume the process. Click Rollback to revert to the previously executed step.

  12. In the Summary page, click Finish.
