Setting MOM Data Retention Policy

Use the MOM Data Retention Policy dialog box to set data retention policy for all MOM 2005 SP1 and above grooming jobs.

• View the grooming job name and the name of the SCRM server in the General tab. You can also change the enable/disable state of the specified grooming in this tab.
• View the data retention period for the specified grooming job in the Data Retention tab. Edit the data retention period by specifying the data retention period in days in the Edit Data Retention Period dialog box.

  • Double-click a row in the Data Retention policy grid to display the Edit Data Retention Period dialog box.

    Note

  • The Data retention policy: grid is read only. It contains a row for each Data Retention Group defined for the data source type. For MOM 2005 SP1 and above data sources, there is a single Data Retention Group-SC_All_MOM_Data.

• Edit the Run As account for the specified grooming job using the Account tab.

  Note

  • The grooming job Run As account is only tested for the permissions required to perform grooming on the data warehouse and not for the permissions required to read from a data source.

   

• Set the schedule for the grooming job using the Schedule tab.
