Folders are used to Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 group objects. You can create standard folders and move objects into the folder, or you can create search folders, which are a virtual representation of all objects that meet your search criteria.
The following types of objects can be grouped within folders:
- Packages
- Advertisements
- Software metering rules
- Reports
- Queries
- Boot images
- Computer associations
- Operating system images
- Task sequences
- Drivers
- Driver packages
- Configuration packages
The Folders dialog box contains the following element:
- Name
- The name of the folder. Folder names must be less than 127 characters and must not contain any of the following characters:/ | \ : * ? " < >
