You must have the Manage Folders permission for the security class to create, delete, move, or modify a folder.

You can create standard folders and search folders in the following console tree items in the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 console:

To create a standard folder

  1. Navigate to an applicable Configuration Manager 2007 console tree item.

  2. Right-click the console tree item, click New, and then click Folder.

  3. Complete the settings in the New Folder dialog box, and then click OK.

To rename a standard folder

  1. Navigate to an applicable Configuration Manager 2007 console tree item.

  2. Right-click the console tree item, and then click Rename.

  3. Type a new name for the folder and then press ENTER.

To delete a standard folder

  1. Navigate to the folder you want to delete and right-click the folder.

  2. On the Action menu, click Delete.

  3. In the Confirm Folder Delete dialog box, click Yes.
