You can change the amount of disk space that the Configuration Manager 2007 client can use to store downloaded packages. The default size of the temporary program download folder is 5120MB.

Advanced settings on the Configuration Manager 2007 client are visible only to local administrators.

Use the following procedure to change amount of disk space allocated to the temporary program download folder:

To set the size of the temporary program download folder:

  1. On the client computer, open the Windows control panel.

  2. Right-click Configuration Manager, and then click Open.

  3. Click the Advanced tab.

  4. In the Temporary Program Download Folder box, move the Amount of disk space to use (MB): slider or type in the desired size in MB to adjust the temporary download storage capacity.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and close the window.
