When client computers in Configuration Manager 2007 download assigned configuration baselines and evaluate their compliance with them, they report their compliance results to their assigned site in state messages. Configuration baselines are assigned to collections, and a collection can have more than one configuration baseline assigned. To view the compliance information by collection, run the report Compliance by collection.

You can run this report with two procedures:

To view the compliance of a collection by running the report Compliance by collection from the home page

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Desired Configuration Management.

  2. In the section Links and Resources, under Web Report, click Compliance by collection.

  3. Enter the collection ID, or click Values and select it.

  4. Click Display.

To view the compliance of a collection by running the report Compliance by collection from the Reports node

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Reporting / Reports.

  2. In the Reports node, click the Category column to sort the reports so that you can more easily find the reports relating to desired configuration management.

  3. Right-click the report Summary Compliance for a Collection by Computer, and click Run.

  4. Enter the collection ID, or click Values and select it.

  5. Click Display.
