This page contains the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 elements as described in the following table.
Name | Description | ||
---|---|---|---|
Transfer settings now |
Transfers the settings in real-time. If you do not have a connection between the source and destination sites, this option is disabled. |
||
Export settings for later use |
Creates an .xml file with the settings you specified. Even if you are transferring settings in real-time, you can simultaneously export the settings to a file. If you are importing settings from an existing .xml, you can also export simultaneously. |
||
Name |
Enter a path and a filename with an .xml extension, for example c:\transfer\siteXYZ.xml or \\serverA\transfer\siteABC.xml.
|
||
Create package definition |
Automatically creates a package definition file in the same location as the .xml file and with the same file name but with a .sms extension. You can then use the package definition file to distribute settings to another site using Configuration Manager 2007 software distribution with the Replstcfg.exe command. |
||
Include the current values for each setting |
Select Include the current values for each setting if Configuration Manager 2007 will not have to have a connection to the source site when you import the .xml file. Clear this option if you are concerned about saving information in the .xml file. For example, if you select the Organization Name to transfer, but you do not want the information stored in the .xml file, clear Include the current values for each setting and then complete the wizard. When you import the file at the destination site, the destination site must connect to the source site and retrieve the account value, but will not retrieve any other values. If you do not have a connection to the source site, the setting will not be transferred. |
