If the primary site to be uninstalled is a child site or has child sites of its own, ensure that you have performed the following actions before removing the site from the hierarchy:
- If the site is a child site, you should
remove the site from the hierarchy before uninstalling it. For more
information about removing a primary site from a hierarchy, see

- If the site has any child primary sites,
ensure that they have been reassigned to new parent sites before
performing this procedure.
- If the site has any child secondary sites,
ensure that they have been uninstalled before uninstalling the
primary site. For more information about uninstalling secondary

To uninstall a primary site

Click Configuration Manager Setup from within the Start menu program files directory for Configuration Manager.

On the Welcome page, click Next.

On the Configuration Manager Setup Options page, click Uninstall Configuration Manager.

Confirm your decision to uninstall the site by clicking Yes on the delete confirmation dialog box.

Review the Installation Summary page to determine the steps Configuration Manager 2007 is taking as it uninstalls the site.
