Asset Intelligence catalog information updates can be scheduled to occur automatically by using the Asset Intelligence synchronization point Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 site system role.

The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later.

The Asset Intelligence synchronization point Schedule tab is used to enable or disable the Asset Intelligence synchronization point site system role and to configure synchronization schedule settings for the Asset Intelligence synchronization point to connect to System Center Online.

Note
By default, catalog updates are scheduled for weekly download from System Center Online.

Use the following procedure to schedule Asset Intelligence catalog updates.

An Asset Intelligence synchronization point site system role must first be installed before using the procedure in this topic. For information about installing an Asset Intelligence synchronization point, see How to Install an Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point.

To schedule Asset Intelligence catalog updates

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database (<site code> - <site name>) / Site Management / <site code - site description> / Site Settings / Site Systems / <site system hosting the Asset Intelligence synchronization point site server role>.

  2. In the results pane, right-click Asset Intelligence synchronization point, and click Properties.

    Note
    If the Configuration Manager console action pane is displayed, the Asset Intelligence synchronization point properties can also be opened by clicking Properties in the action pane.
  3. In the Asset Intelligence synchronization point Schedule tab, ensure that Enable synchronization on a schedule is enabled.

  4. Select either a simple or custom schedule for Asset Intelligence catalog updates, and configure the schedule as needed.
