Use the Notification tab of the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Advertised Programs Client Agent Properties dialog box to configure the way the agent notifies clients that advertised programs are available.
The Notification tab contains the following elements:
- When new advertised programs are available
- Specifies how to notify clients when new advertised programs
are available. The following notification options are available:
- Display a notification message:
Specifies that a visual cue will be displayed on the client desktop
when new advertised programs are available.
- Play a sound: Specifies that an
audible cue will be played on the client computer when new
advertised programs are available.

- When a scheduled program is about to run
- Specifies how to notify users when a scheduled program is about
to run.Provide a countdown specifies whether to display a
countdown on the client desktop to the start of the scheduled
program.If a countdown is selected, the following options can be
set:
- Countdown length (minutes): Specifies
the length of the countdown. The default value is five minutes.
Valid entries range from one minute through 1,440 minutes (one
day).
