The Advertised Programs Client Agent, like other client agents, is installed on all clients by Configuration Manager 2007, but it is necessary to configure the agent to match the needs of your site.

Note
Although the Advertised Programs Client Agent is automatically enabled when doing a standard installation on a client computer, it is not automatically enabled when performing a custom installation.

To configure the Advertised Programs Client Agent

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site name> / Client Agents.

  2. Right-click Advertised Programs Client Agent, and then click Properties.

  3. On the General tab, enable software distribution if necessary and configure the client agent.

  4. On the Notification tab, configure additional client options as desired.
