Use this task sequence condition to evaluate whether the specified software is installed on the destination computer. You can only evaluate software that was installed using a Windows Installer file (.MSI).

The following settings can be configured for this condition:

MSI file

The local path and file name for the Windows Installer file (.MSI) that will be evaluated. When a valid Windows Installer file is entered, the following information about the Windows Installer file is automatically displayed:
  • Name

  • Version

  • Product Code

  • Upgrade code

If the Windows Installer file does not provide the information, a question mark is displayed in the field.
Match this specific product (Product Code and Upgrade Code)

Select this option for Configuration Manager 2007 to evaluate for a specific software version associated with the Windows Installer file (.MSI) that exists on the destination computer.
Match any version of this product (Upgrade Code only)

Select this option for Configuration Manager 2007 to evaluate if any version of the software associated with the Windows Installer file exists on the destination computer.
