Use the Exchange ActiveSync (WM05) General tab to specify the general properties of the configuration item to distribute to mobile devices. Configuration items are sent to mobile devices using the New Configuration Packages Wizard.

Specify the name and description of the configuration item to be distributed to mobile devices.

Name

Specifies the name of the configuration item for mobile devices. The name should be unique and descriptive.
Description (Optional)

Specifies the description of the configuration item for mobile devices. The description should give an overview of the configuration item and relevant information that helps identify it among other items displayed in the Configuration Items pane of the Configuration Manager Administrator console.
Configuration Type

Specifies the configuration type of the configuration item for mobile devices.
Platform

Specifies the platforms that the configuration item can configure.
OK

Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
Cancel

Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
Apply

Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
Help

Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
