Secondary sites can be upgraded by either starting the Upgrade Secondary Site Wizard from within the parent site's Configuration Manager console or by running Configuration Manager Setup and selecting to upgrade the existing Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 secondary site.
Regardless of the method used to upgrade the secondary site, the primary site that the secondary site reports to should be upgraded to Configuration Manager 2007 before upgrading any attached secondary sites.
