Use the Software Update Point page in the Configuration Manager 2007 New Site Role Wizard or New Site Server Wizard to specify whether to use a proxy server when synchronizing to the upstream server or Microsoft Update.

| Use a proxy server when synchronizing | Specifies whether to use a proxy server when connecting to the upstream server or Microsoft Update to synchronize software updates. | 
| Server name | Specifies the name of the proxy server. | 
| Port | Specifies the port used by the proxy server. | 
| Use credentials to connect to the proxy server | Specifies whether to use specific security credentials when connecting to the proxy server. | 
| Software update point proxy server account | Specifies the software update point proxy server account used when connecting to the proxy server. You can specify a user or domain user account, for example, username or domain\username. | 
| Previous | Goes to the previous page of the wizard. | 
| Next | Goes to the next page of the wizard. | 
| Finish | Goes to the Summary page of the wizard. | 
| Cancel | Discards the settings, and exits the wizard. |
