When a Configuration Manager 2007 site is enabled for Wake On LAN, wake-up packets are transmitted using the transmission method of either Unicast (the default) or subnet-directed broadcast.

To configure this option, follow this procedure.

To configure Wake On LAN for Unicast or subnet-directed broadcast transmission:

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management.

  2. Right-click <site code> – <site name>, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Wake On LAN tab, either select the option Unicast if you want wake-up packets to be sent using unicast transmission, or select the option Subnet-directed broadcasts if you want wake-up packets to be sent using subnet-directed broadcast transmission.

  4. Click OK.
