Understanding Year 2000 Product Compliance Levels

Microsoft has classified its products into five levels of compliance in relation to the Year 2000 issue. These levels can help you decide what action, if any, you need to take to bring the products into compliance or to address problems that can result from continuing to use non-compliant or untested products.

Compliance level Description
Compliant The product fully meets Microsoft's standard of compliance. A patch or service pack might be required to achieve compliance.
Compliant with Minor Issues The product meets Microsoft's standard of compliance with some disclosed exceptions that constitute minor date issues.
Not Compliant The product does not meet Microsoft's standard of compliance.
Testing Yet to Be Completed The product test is not completed or has not been started, but the product will be tested.
Will Not Test The product will not be tested for compliance.

Note    Product compliance types other than Year 2000 might use different compliance levels.
