Specify Trap Settings for Events

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps that are too large may be dropped en route by the network. You can limit the length of messages in all SNMP traps generated by the translator by using the Settings dialog box. You can also use the throttle settings to prevent SNMP traps from flooding your network.

  1. In the Event to Trap Translator window, click Settings.
  2. Complete the settings in the Settings dialog box.
  3. Click OK.
