This database maintenance task lets you export the SMS software metering database transaction log to a backup device. To use this feature, you must first create a backup device in SQL Server. (See the SQL Server documentation for more information.) You can export the transaction log immediately, or you can schedule exporting to occur automatically at a later time. Automatic exporting is disabled by default.
Before using this command, turn off Truncate Log on Checkpoint in SQL Enterprise Manager. You must turn off the checkpoint for this specific database. Then, perform an SMS site database backup by exporting the SMS site database to a backup device.
