Use this task to export an SMS software metering database to a backup device. Before you run this task, you must first create a backup device in SQL Server. (For more information, see your SQL Server product documentation.) You can export the software metering database immediately, or you can schedule the export to occur automatically at a later time. Note that automatic exporting is disabled by default.
