Site System Properties Dialog Box: Distribution Point Tab

Use this tab to assign or remove the distribution point role or distribution point groups. Distribution points are used to store packages that are distributed within your site. Because clients access the packages on these distribution points to run advertised programs, make sure that you have enough distribution points in your site to meet all client needs. If you have a large number of distribution points, you can combine several site systems into a distribution point group.

Note    This tab applies to all site system types (such as Windows NT Server computers, Windows NT shares, and NetWare NDS volumes).

Use this site system as a distribution point
Assigns the distribution point role to this site system.
Available distribution point groups
The distribution point groups in the site. This list indicates whether the current site system is currently a member of each group.

Click to open the Distribution Point Group Properties dialog box, which enables you to create a new distribution point group.

Click to open the Distribution Point Group Properties dialog box, which enables you to modify a distribution point group.
Picture of Delete Button
Click to delete the selected distribution point group.

Click to change the membership of the distribution point in the selected groups.
