Configuring Components

In the SMS Administrator console, you can use Component Configuration to perform the following configuration tasks:

• Configure software distribution components.
  Configure how software is distributed and processed within an SMS site.
• Configure data processing and storage components.
  Configure how data is processed and stored within an SMS site.
• Configure software metering components.
  Configure the software metering policies that are enforced, how metering tasks are scheduled, and how and when data is summarized.
• Configure status reporting components.
  Configure which status messages are reported and where they are reported.
