Configure Software Distribution Components

Note   You must have Modify permission for the Site security object class or instance to perform this procedure.

1. 

   Navigate to Component Configuration.

2.  Systems Management Server
      Site Database
        Site Hierarchy
          site name
            Site Settings
              Component Configuration

3. Right-click Software Distribution, and then click Properties.
4. In the Software Distribution Component Configuration Properties dialog box, complete the settings in both tabs:
   • Configure general component properties in the General tab.
   • Specify the retry settings in the Retry Settings tab.

Note    The default settings for software distribution components are acceptable for most SMS sites.
