NetWare Bindery Logon Client Installation Configuration Overview

NetWare Bindery Logon Client Installation inserts Systems Management Server (SMS) commands into the system login scripts of NetWare bindery logon points. These commands make any computer that logs on to the specified NetWare bindery logon points an SMS client, if this installation method is enabled for the site. However, the resource is installed as an SMS client only if site assignment is successful (meaning the resource is in an IP subnet or has an IPX network number that matches those included in the site it is trying to join).

If both NetWare Bindery Logon Client Installation and NetWare Bindery Logon Discovery are disabled, the SMS commands are removed from the system login scripts.

Note   Window 95 and Windows 98 clients of a NetWare bindery logon point cannot access a Windows NT Server CAP. You must either designate a NetWare Bindery CAP for those clients, or upgrade them to Windows NT Server or Windows NT Workstation.
