If you plan to manage a small number of Windows-based computers, you can usually accomplish this by deploying all Operations Manager 2007 server components on a single computer that is appropriately sized and configured. If later you need to manage additional Windows-based computers, or devices and computers not running Windows, you can deploy additional management servers on other computers for the same management group. A management group is a logical grouping of Operations Manager components, such as management servers, and the objects they manage, such as Exchange servers.
