
Create Message
The Create Message object will
create a new message on the OpenView Operations server.
How it is used
The Create Message object can be
used to create a message in OpenView Operations that originated
from another system monitor product.
Configuration
To configure the Create Message
object you need to know the severity of the message that is being
created, as well as the application, group, object, text, and node
of the message.

Severity

Select the severity of the
message that you are creating.

Application
|
Type the name of the
application that is generating the message.
|
Group
|
Type the name of the Message
Group that this message will be associated with. Make sure that the
name of the Group matches a Group that is defined in the HP
OpenView Operations server.

Object
|
Type the name of the object
that originated the message within the application.
|
Text
|
Type the description of the
message.
|
Optional variables
|
Type the optional variables
that will be passed as part of the message.

Node
|
Type the name of the managed
node that originated the message. Verify that the name of the node
matches a node that is defined in the HP OpenView Operations
server.
