Set Global Variable

The Set Global Variable object enables you to create and configure the values of a global variable.

How it is used

Use the Set Global Variable object to set global variables that you will use when executing subsequent CA AutoSys WA jobs.

Configuration

To configure the Set Global Variable object you need to know the name of the connection you want to use, and the values of the fields that you will have to configure as part of this operation.

Details Tab

 

Name	Click the ellipsis button (...) and select the connection that you want to use.
global_name	Click in the field to the right of the word global_name and type the global variable name that you want to change the variable value for.
value	Click in the field to the right of the word value and type the value that you want to assign to the global variable.

Command line	The command that was sent to CA AutoSys WA.
AutoSys connection	The CA AutoSys WA connection that was used.
Error output	The error output returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
Exit code	The exit code returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
Standard output	The output returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
