Monitor Alerts
The Monitor Alerts object triggers a
Policy when alerts that match your criteria are found.
How it is used
Use the Monitor Alerts object to
trigger a corrective Policy in response to changes in an
alert.
Configuration
To configure the Monitor Alerts
object you need to know the name of the ObjectServer that you want
to connect to and the properties of the alerts that will trigger
the Policy.

Connection

Type the name of the
ObjectServer connection that you want to use, or click the ellipsis
(…) button and browse for it.

New alerts
|
Select this option to trigger
the Policy when new alerts are created.

Updated alerts
|
Select this option to trigger
the Policy when existing alerts are updated.
|
Filters
|
The list displays all filters
that you have configured. To edit or remove a filter, select the
item and click Edit or Remove, respectively. To add a filter, see the
instructions below.

To add a filter:

Click Add. The Add
Filter dialog appears.
|

From the Field drop-down list, select the field that you
want to search in.
|

|
From the Relation drop-down list, select the type of
relation that you want to use in your search.
|

In the Value field, type or select the value that will
be compared to the item that you selected from the Field drop-down list and click OK. The filter is added to the list.

Note: The wildcard character for this
filter is ?.
Available Published Data
This object generates one Published
Data item. The rest are generated dynamically according to the
fields contained in the alerts retrieved by this object.
