Updating Exchange HA Extension

This update refreshes the HA Extension after changes in third-party DAGs. The Update HA Extension action does not support Native DAGs. This action is the same as the Update-EmcHAExtension ESI PowerShell cmdlet in that it disables the failover, refreshes the current HA Extension view of databases, database copies, and associated storage on the DAG, and then re-enables the failover.

To update the HA Extension:

1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select Applications > Exchange and the applicable mailbox forest.

2. In the center pane, select the DAG to update.

3. In the Actions pane, click Update HA Extension.

4. In the Update HA Extension page, confirm that the correct database is listed, and then click Next.

5. In the Review Input Parameters page, verify the settings, and then click Next.

6. In the Progress page, click Next.

Note: Click More Information for more progress details. If a problem occurs, an error message appears along with options to resume or roll back the process. After the error is resolved, click Resume to resume the process. Click Rollback to revert to the previously executed step.

7. In the Summary page, click Finish.
