If the Summarize Client Access License Weekly Usage Data Task is enabled, it gathers user Client Access License (CAL) data and device CAL data from the Configuration Manager 2007 site database and creates weekly summary data points. These data points are used for CAL trending and are necessary for several license management reports. Furthermore, by gathering this data into periodic data points, a historical reference is maintained long after the raw data has been purged.
