In addition to scheduled synchronizations, synchronization of the local Asset Intelligence catalog with System Center Online can be manually requested. Manually synchronizing catalog information allows administrators to retrieve the latest software title categorization information as well as new CPU property and hardware requirements information from System Center Online. When requesting catalog synchronization with System Center Online, information is not uploaded to System Center Online.
|The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later.|
Asset Intelligence catalog synchronization can be initiated manually from within the Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 console up to 2 times in a 24-hour period. If a request for synchronization occurs after the second attempt in a 24-hour period, it will be queued and synchronization will be attempted at the next available time.
|An Asset Intelligence synchronization point site system role must first be installed before using the procedure in this topic. For information about installing an Asset Intelligence synchronization point, see How to Connect to System Center Online.|
