Use the Select Packages page in the Configuration Manager 2007 Copy Packages Wizard to specify the package or packages that you want to copy to the destination distribution point.

The Copy Packages Wizard prefilters the copy sources based on the package type, so that when run from the Software Distribution node, this wizard will display only software packages. If you want to copy all package types to a new distribution point (that is, you want to effectively "clone" the original distribution point), this wizard must be run five times, once from each appropriate package-type node (Software Updates, OSD, and so forth).

Select Packages

Specifies the software distribution package or packages to replicate to the destination distribution point. To specify a package, select that package in the displayed list.

Two viewing options are available in the displayed list:

  • Expand All: Expands any folders present in the displayed list.

  • Collapse All: Collapses any expanded folders in the displayed list.

The following options are available for selecting packages:

  • Select All: Selects all packages displayed in the list.

  • Clear All: Clears all selected packages displayed in the list.

  • Source: Opens the Select Source Distribution Point dialog box, where you can select a distribution from which all packages present will be replicated. To specify the replication of all packages from one or more distribution points, select the appropriate distribution points in this dialog box, and then click OK.

When you select packages for copying, those packages will be copied to the destination distribution point, even if they have already been copied previously.

Goes to the Summary page of the wizard.


Discards the settings and exits the wizard.
