Macintosh clients must be members of an SMS 1.2 site to receive advertised programs in an SMS 2.0 software distribution. The SMS 1.2 site must be the child of an SMS 2.0 site.
To distribute packages to Macintosh clients, your package source directory must be on a Windows NT Services for Macintosh (SFM) volume that is accessible to the SMS Service account. Software must be copied to the SFM volume from a Macintosh system. When the package is distributed, all Macintosh attributes are preserved.
Note that distribution points for the package must also be running SFM. This means that you cannot send a package to a site that does not contain a server running Windows NT SFM.
