The Upgrade Secondary Site Wizard guides you through the steps
necessary to upgrade one or more secondary sites to SMS 2.0 or
to reinstall SMS 2.0 on one or more secondary sites. As you
complete the wizard, you will be prompted for the following
information:
The sites you want to upgrade or reinstall
The wizard provides a list of secondary sites that you can
upgrade or reinstall. Select the sites you want to upgrade or
reinstall.
The location of the installation source files.
You must choose one of the following:
Transfer installation source files from parent site server over
the network connection
Select this option when the secondary site does not have an
administrator who can perform the upgrade, when the secondary site
does not have direct access to the SMS 2.0 installation files,
or when the impact on intersite bandwidth is not a concern.
Installation source files are on the secondary site server
Select this option when the Systems Management Server version
2.0 compact disc (or an image of that compact disc) is available at
the secondary site and you want to minimize the impact on intersite
bandwidth.
